Importance of Upperbody workouts:

We use our upperbody for everyday activities such as lifting a chair, carrying groceries from the supermarket and carrying a backpack to school. Inorder for our bodies to perform these activities with ease or even just slightly better than usual we need to train our upperbody. Upperbody workouts usually target the back, chest, bicep and triceps.

The 2 main exercises that we are going to teach you are push-ups and bicep curls. Bicep curls solely target the biceps. push-ups target the chest, back and tricep.

How to perform basic Upperbody workouts:

♦ Push-ups
Be in push-up position where your arms and legs are sholder width apart.
Bring your arms down inwards until ur chest almost touches the ground.
Then come back up back to the push-up postition.
Keep your back straight throughout the motion.
If you are doing the exercises right, you can feel your triceps, back and chest muscles expanding and contracting.
♦ Bicep curls
Be standing straight with the dumbells in both your hands.
Bring the dumbells up as much as possible with out moving your elbow.
Then come back to the original form.
If you are doing the exercises right, you can feel your bicep muscles expanding and contracting.
